Posting My First Script: The Yellow Rose

Okay. Some of my friends have been asking, “When are you going to let us read your play?” Well, I am not ready to share the full-length yet, but I have a 10-minute play that I hope you will enjoy.

This is called The Yellow Rose. It was an assignment in my playwriting class. We had to write a play in which a chair was featured as “not a chair”.

Reading Your Biography

Moving on
to the conclusion
of your story,
I was left in the middle;
a red herring romance,
an unfinished thread 
in your resolution.

I could write my own
beginnings,
middles
and ends, but
I have been
hanging out
in your story
for so long
I don’t know how
to begin.

Then make me an omission.
Let me avoid your
entanglements
and complications.
Leave me off here.
Let’s end this
little love story.
