Foundations Class: Space available for 10 students.
Scene Study Class: Open to students who have completed the Foundations Class.
Beginning to intermediate students will explore acting theory and methods, character development, improvisation, theater games, audition and rehearsal techniques, and performance.
- Increase confidence and stage presence
- learn foundational methods and techniques to continuously develop craft
- expand character range
- deepen ability to express authentic emotion on command
- increase spontaneity and creativity
- approach character development from the inside-out and the outside-in with confidence
Open to students age 21 and over. Space available for 10 participants.
Kirsten Olson received her BFA in Theatre Arts from Stephens College and her MFA in Acting from Penn State. She performed professionally in regional theatres in Missouri, New York, North Carolina and Ohio. Kirsten is currently on the Board of Directors for The Columbia Entertainment Company. Her recent directing credits include The Laramie Project, How I Learned to Drive, When the Reaper Calls and Strange Snow. Recent performance credits include Joan in The Guys, Mavis in Stepping Out and Germaine in Picasso at the Lapin Agile. She is currently performing with Theatre NXS as Helen Mackie in Problem Child.
